Ray: A Life Underwater

Postby Mik Wells » Mon Jan 16, 2012 02:31

I bumped in to a lovely woman called Amanda Bluglass at a party last week. Not only has she got a cool name, she also told me that she made a film about a 75 year old diver from Plymouth.

I got around to watching “Ray: A Life..” last night and was struck by the human aspect of the story. I think it captures the special side of Ray in a very honest and refreshing way. No sensationalism, no shock, just good old-fashioned story telling about an amazing individual accompanied by superb visuals. I loved the aerial shots over Plymouth and I particularly like the last scene where Ray is just below the surface and the camera transitions between above and below the water.

If you find yourself with a spare 15 minutes check it out at http://www.rayalifeunderwater.co.uk.
