Monday night coach, Juniors and Families.

I started slalom kayaking in 1960’s but stopped when I went to an apprenticeship and university in 1970’s.

I started kayaking again in 1990’s as a family activity that I could do with both sons where we all started achieving the personal performance awards. I then started coaching with Totnes Canoe Club, at the same time as being a volunteer coach at an outdoor centre in Berkshire and for local scout group. This also led me into canoeing on white water and touring where I have been assessor and safety on multi-day scout expeditions in Europe.

In 2023 I started sea kayaking as we have so many local areas to paddle and many of the skills are transferable.

I am a provider/assessor for personal performance kayak awards and I have also done lots of safety and rescue courses up to Advanced White Water.

White Water Kayak Leader = 4 Star White Water Kayak Leader
